George Rex Veterinary Clinic opened its doors in 1995.Our current property was acquired in 2009 and developed into a new spacious modern veterinary clinic with separate cat and dog hospital wards and modern diagnostic and surgical equipment. An indigenous garden was established to blend in with our renowned GARDEN ROUTE and ample safe parking is provided. We offer diagnostic and surgical services to all pets as well as disease prevention and socialisation programmes.
The George Animal Hospital initially opened its doors on the 15th of February 1991. We serve a large area in and around George in the Southern Cape. Dr. Emile du Plessis qualified as a veterinarian at Onderstepoort in 1981 after obtaining his B.SC degree from Stellenbosch. He worked in mixed practices in Caledon and Riversdale / Stilbaai and in England before joining the WAHG team in 2002. He specialises in small animal medicine and -surgery in Paarl and handles the clinic in Franschhoek.
